Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a 1998 American psychedelic satirical road film co-written and directed by Terry Gilliam and adapted from the novel of the same name by Hunter S. Thompson. It was produced by Rhino Films and Summit Entertainment and released by Universal Pictures on May 22, 1998.
