Winnie the Pooh is a 2011 American animated musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and inspired by A.A. Milne's stories of the same name. It is the 51st Disney animated feature film and a part of Disney's Winnie the Pooh franchise, the fifth theatrical Winnie the Pooh film, and second theatrical feature after 1977's The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It is also, to date, the most recent Disney film to use traditional animation. It was released by Walt Disney Pictures on April 12, 2011 in the United Kingdom and Ireland and July 15, 2011 in the United States.
