Nikté is a 2009 Mexican animated adventure comedy film, produced by Soco Aguilar and Animex Producciones. It stars the voices of Sherlyn as the title character, Pierre Angelo, Pedro Armendáriz Jr, Alex Lora, Jorge Arvizu, and Regina Torné. It premiered in theaters on December 18, 2009.
Plot[]
Nikté is a cheerful and mischievous 11-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a princess. She achieves her goal by deciphering an ancient codex that foretells the arrival of a celestial princess along with the comet.
With the help of Paal, her inseparable friend, they manage to con everyone and, although with some misgivings at first, Kan and Kun - the Priest Twins - approve of her arrival. But while the idea of becoming a princess was attractive because of the benefits that her royal status granted her, it soon begins to darken, when it is revealed to her the mission that she will have to fulfil as the envoy of the gods.
At the same time, in the village of the Chanekes, an invention of the hyperactive Chin has left everyone without food and she is given the mission to go in search of "the twig of tenmeaka".
This is how both characters find themselves in the middle of the jungle. They both have the responsibility to save their villages and can help each other at the same time, but it is Nikté, who with a willing attitude, manages to get Chin to help him first to fulfil his mission.
Achieving this will be no easy feat. Against him is K'as, who secretly uses his son Tanké, a handsome prince, famous in the region for being the champion of the ball game, and Xtabay, to block Nikté's path.
Through a journey of learning, friendship and companionship, Nikté realises that to be the greatest, you must first be the smallest.
