The Lion King 1 1/2 is a 2004 American animated comedy film directed by Bradley Radmond. It's a spin-off to The Lion King franchise centering on Timon and Pumbaa and is a prequel / midquel to The Lion King.
Why it's great[]
- The idea is pretty original
- The voice cast did a great job, especially Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella
- The humor is clever and funny
- It has heartwarming moments, especially the ending.
- The subplot where Timon and Pumbaa narrates the film from a theater is really funny.
- The hyenas are still funny and are now the main antagonists of the film.
- Great soundtrack composed by Don L. Harpor

Bad Qualities[]
- It's promoted as a Lion King film when it's actually a Timon and Pumbaa spin-off film. This made some fans disappointed after illuding them.
